I use my knowledge from the entertainment industry to lay a solid foundation in the visual arts, inspire a love for learning, and awaken creativity.
Below are classes that will develop your skills as visual communicator through design principles and a variety of image making techniques.
Dynamic Sketching: How to Draw Anything!
We’ll cover the foundations of quick sketching then use observation as inspiration to begin our own designs. Using pen and toned paper, students will learn to build confidence in their line work, proportions, perspective, and more. Communicate your ideas visually and create pictures worth a thousand words. No drawing experience required, but even the most advanced artist will sharpen their drawing skills and techniques.*Fall 2023 Tues 1-2pm

Character Design: Drawing Funny People
Join in as we laugh and learn the unique art of caricaturing people. We will explore drawing faces, figures, basic clothing design, and more! We’ll also study the application of character design in fashion, comic book, animation, and game art. We’ll study some of the best in the character design industry.*Fall 2023 Tues 2-3pm

Making Children’s Picture Books
Ever wanted to create your own children’s picture book or graphic novel? Learn how to tell a story through pictures and words. I’ll walk with you from original ideation to finished dummy book.We’ll cover story development, basic character design, storyboarding, color keys and more! I’ll also cover options for self publishing for those interested.
